今日の表現
例文
I never read this book
without finding something new.
（この本を読めば必ず
何か新しいことを発見する。）
ポイント
never (do) without (doing)
懐かしい構文ですね。
never と without
否定語が２つあるので、
訳しにくいですね。
肯定の意味になるんですね。
例えば、
後ろから訳すと
（・・・することなしに・・・しない）
何か新しいことを発見することなしに、
この本を読むことはない。
二重否定の構文と言ってましたね。
高校の時に、
「マイナスかけるマイナスでプラスだ！」
と習いました。
英語の時間に数学が出てきたので
印象的でした。
前から訳すと；
（・・・すれば必ず・・・する）
この本を読めば必ず
何か新しいことを発見する。
something new 何か新しいこと
これは、語順がおもしろいですね。

を英語にすると、

口の筋肉で覚えてしまいましょう！
